I’v always told my children to follow their dreams, then my son came to me and said : I want to join the IDF ( Israel Defense Forces )
He always said that since he was 6 years old and I always wished by the time he turned 18 he will forgot all about it, start college and have normal life , but he didn’t, he stood for what he believed and and his belief is to support his country and join the IDF.
If you love your children you have to let them and help them to follow their dream even though its not what you want !! My amazing son make aliya to israel a year ago from today (8/15/2011) he left his sisters, parents, friends and everything else behind to support Israel.
It breaks my heart to let him go away from home knowing what he is going to do but at the same time i put my trust in God and i know my son is not just my son! he is a real Hero, My hero , My man , My best friend , my partner for life and the first to call me Mom .
I miss him very much but so proud of him at the time not just for the fact that he support israel but for following his dream and not giving up on his dream even though he had so many bumps on the road.
He joined the unit name: Golani Brigade. Mom is really miss his voice and his smell around the house , he always smelled like the hollister store. he was working there for almost a year so every time he came home we told him he smelled like the store – in israel everyone call him hollister becase everytime he is not in uniform he wear hollister – so when i miss him that much i go to the store and buy something .
Golani Brigade
The IDF’s most celebrated and widely known brigade, Golani was created just before Israeli independence in 1948 and has served in every war since. Golani special forces are known as one of the finest yet fiercest fighting forces in the entire world.
my son is areal patriot and zionist – Zionist is a form of nationalism of Jews and Jewish culture that supports a Jewish nation state in territory defined as the Land of Israel … yes this is my son the man i raise
he was the first to call me mommy , the first to take to school and the one to paves the way for the other two lovely sisters Bar & Neta in so many beautiful, amazing ways.

I already know which way to go. I may not take the most direct route, but I am absolutely getting closer to where I want to be.
take One yellow brick at a time. One..yellow..brick…at…a…time. As long as you are on the yellow brick road, why not be courageous and take a small step forward to the next yellow brick? You will lose nothing, and instead gain so much! With each step forward, it is a step filled with hope of one day seeing what you have been believing for-come true! Don’t stop stepping!
Choose your friends wisely and join yourself with other dreamers.
The fight is the strongest right before your dream comes true!
Surround yourself with other dreamers.
Be aware of distractions.
Apply disciplines and know that the sacrifices are worth it, and they are only for a season.
Never forget there is an enemy that would love for you to give up on your dream (DON’T DO IT!),
and remember, when the fight to keep your dream alive gets the most intense-you are right around the corner from seeing your dream come true!
Maintain focus, stay on this road, keep the vision of your dream alive,
Dont forget Every good story has a superhero and villain.
Good Day …

Successful event at crossFit redline we were the top fundraiser in Florida for 31 Heroes!!!! Thanks to Anthony and Alison for all their heard work and of cours all the redline Family who did a great job
The Cause
Honor the 31. Support the 1000s.
The 31Heroes Project exists to honor our fallen heroes killed in action August 6, 2011 through fitness and raise funds for programs that provide support to families of all fallen military heroes—past, present, and future.
The WOD
31 Heroes 2012 – August 4, 2012 at a Crossfit Redline.
AMRAP 31 minutes (As Many Reps As Possible)
8 Thrusters (155/105#)
6 Rope Climbs (15 ft. ascent)
11 Box Jumps (30/24″)
This is a Partner WOD – Partner #1 will perform the work listed above. Partner #2 will run 400m with a sandbag (45/25). Once Partner #2 returns from the run, Partner #1 will grab the sandbag and begin their 400m, while Partner #2 continues work wherever #1 left off.
Score is your total # of reps
This WOD was created specifically to honor the 30 men and one dog that gave their lives for our country on August 6, 2011. It is 31 minutes long—one minute in remembrance of each hero. The rep scheme is 8-6-11—the date of their ultimate sacrifice. Finally, this is a partner WOD. The men who gave their lives were from multiple branches of our military, working together as a team. In the workout you and your team member will constantly be taking the load from each other providing much needed support and relief. We realize that no physical sacrifice made during a workout can come close to the sacrifice our brave heroes made, but we consider this WOD a CrossFitters ‘moment of silence’. This is how we can honor those that gave all in the name of freedom.

Not everything you have stays forever, but there are things you would be glad to fight for so you can have them longer.
Just as our lives have a beginning, they also have an ending. There are many things that we will experience in our lives that will stay for a long period of time, but the only thing that will last forever is our relationship with the almighty God, everything else will eventually expire, no matter how much we may not want it to. This doesn’t mean that you can’t fight for the things in your life that you desire to keep in your life for longer.
There will be battles and tests for relationships we develop with others, there will be battles and tests while we try to maintain a lifestyle that we worked so hard to get to live, and there will be trials and adversity that we must face when we are truly living our lives, instead of just waiting for life to happen. Not everything we would like to stay forever will stay forever, but as long as you still have breath in your lungs, you have the choice to fight for whatever it is that is important enough for you to fight for.

Love doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be true.
A true love is a perfect love, because it bonds together two people who are imperfect! There are a few stages in love, and by the last stage, two different people grow such a bond together that their lives are ultimately planned around one another’s. A true love will do a lot for the parties involved. It will certainly make both parties involved feel good about their lives, and their selves.
It will give each other a respect that both parties deserve, and will protect each party’s dignity, through the thick and through the easier times as well. Love has a lot of things that it needs to be, but perfect isn’t one of them, because nobody will ever go through life without making a mistake. It just needs to be true enough so that it will conquer the mistakes, so that it will outlast the bad times, and so that it will be exceedingly joyous in the good times. The main characteristic of an everlasting love is that it is true!

Naples grad, former NFL Fred McCrary
I’ve spent a few hours with Fred McCray. I wanted to learn more about his foundation.
So we started off so funny. Our first minutes together we went to sports authority… that was funny. I felt like I’ve known this guy for way more then those 5 minutes. We went to eat lunch, we talked a lot and learned so much about each other and about his foundation. He loves it and has so much passion about it.
I invited Fred to join me for WOD at Cross fit Redline. He dropped me off at the gym on Tuesday but he couldn’t make it to the workout. He planned on going see his mom, but he promised he will go Wednesday morning.
Well 5:15AM I got phone call – get up Batya were going for WOD!!
It was the first time for me in the AM at Victors Class – Mornings are so quiet and relaxing out, it’s amazing!
Walking into the gym Victor was so sweet and welcoming! Fred and I went over the workout and started warm up then went for 200-yard run. I was so far behind I said, “this guy is as fast as a jet!!”
Back in the gym I’m started setting up my workout spot (station). Victor helped Fred setup his and explained to him one on one about the workout (WOD). Fred was very impress by Victor.
The whole workout Fred kept saying, “man!! This is good stuff” and how happy he was to be there – that made me happy because I didn’t think an NFL former would be so impressed. I found that so cool. At the end he said “ I WANT TO COME BACK I LOVED THAT ” and I smiled …
Right after workout we took turns to see the Naples Pier and here is Big Fred, just like little boy, talking to all of the elder who were fishing early in the morning. He was so friendly and he liked to explore all the fish. He was running around pointing out fish just like little boy and I just looked at him and smiled. You could see this big man with a bigger heart- so friendly and lovely – people recognized him and were so happy to see him. I felt like I was with a celeb!
We enjoy 30 minutes at the pier and then we took a ride to see the place where he grew up. He called it “The Hood”
He showed me the little unit where he was raised and even showed me the basketball hoop he hit a zillion times (he said). Then the lake where he would go fishing, swimming and even his grandma’s unit. What a life story this guy has, such an interesting person. We walked at the community park by the community and he remembered all the trees and the way the park use to be before. He could describe every little corner and was so proud of how he had nothing but so much at the time.
Then we went to eat breakfast at his favorite place in golden gate called, Nana’s Diner, great food! I’ve never heard about this place before, but Fred as a Naples man knows it all!
Fred never stopped talking about his foundation and the passion he has to help others. Fred is such a giver!
On way home Fred says to me, “Batya! You see how I raised? Out of all those people I grew up with GOD choose me and I choose to give back. That’s why I have this foundation 44ways so I can help others!” He says, “ I thank God for all of these opportunities and I feel blessed.
I almost cried listening to him say that! He was so sincere and I believed every word he was saying.
This was a very interesting morning with Fred and I can’t wait until the next time I see him and learn more about him, his foundation and become part of this foundation as a social media consultant.
Thank you Fred for an amazing and quality morning!!
